Clickable Ads

Online Ads include all of the methods by which businesses try to get Web surfers attention and sell their products and services. No matter popping up ads, banners, sidebar links, social networks, emails or affiliate networks, they are all strategies used by marketing people to attract new consumers and gain leads for companyHowever, advertisement on the Internet has been around for near fifteen years and many users are looking at the ads they skim on the Web in a different way. Online web promotion strategy is becoming more and more of a science as everyday surfer of the Internet are turning increasingly irritated by the many ways that web advertisement can often surreptitiously take over a "www" that one is trying to use. The challenge today is considering and finding other ways of getting people's attention.
The methods for Internet promotion hasn't really changed quite in the past ten years. Popping up ads are still a big weapon among tons of advertisers, which already drive net surfers crazy. Related researchers are fast to point out that "pop-ups" are the highest rated form of despised advertisement. Ads that attempt and bait potential consumers into clicking on it rated just as low and ads that suddenly pop up and hide what you are really wanting to find are also widely disdained. When Internet advertisement doesn't have close buttons, and when it floats across your screen, or plays surprisingly without your permission, those ads are really nothing but annoying to people according to research. Therefore before a potential consumer ever relies on those pass kinds of online web advertisement ploys, more energy and money should be spent on highly proven methods of promotion.

In my eyes, nowadays online web ad is moving forward of being a partner with the idea of helping people find answers, not just making a sale. This is maybe a tough concept for hardcore salesman to accept, but in the process of helping consumers find answers to their questions, more business goals can ultimately be achieved. For example, the blog is a great chance of writing personally, without a bunch of hype and it allows the writer to become a sort of expert or "turn to" person when potential clients or customers have questions ( just like us )It also can have sidebar invitations to visit company website and an invitation at the end of the blog, and it should be used for informational functions, not related to product presentation. The idea is to get potential consumer to come back again and pass blog on to others for their enlightenment as well.

  1. I think clicking ads is really annoying but it does work wonders when it comes to drawing new customers because pop ups happen all the time and u never know one day that ad that pops up and can exactly what your looking for.

    2. I believe these click through ads are meant to be annoying. Its a clever and effective way to grab attention. After all, the purpose is to get as many consumers as possible to click-through. Excellent Post!!!

  2. for a business, these ads are great because, usually, the person that clicks the ad has some interest in the product. therefore they are getting to their target market or at least to a person who is likely to buy. however, with the growing use of software such as adblock, which is free and easy to get, these ads are not being seen by as many people and may not be a good use of funds for a smaller business.

  3. I would have no problem believing that most surveys found that customers were annoyed by this type of advertising. Even myself when I am on the internet and doing something important and an add will come up, id become annoyed and try to exit or close the ad before I even really saw what the ad was for. You are forcing the viewer to watch or pay attention to an ad, not on their own free will. By doing this i find your drawing your customer away where as you would be gaining customers using a different kind of approach.

  4. Companies using click ads are taking a chance with consumers. From my own experiences I can say that I find the advertisements annoying. But I can see the appeal that it has on some consumers with the "flashiness". Personally I think click ads are solely attention grabbers

  5. I agree with you 100 percent on the fact that pop up internet ads are annoying. Not only are these adds product negative consumer reactions but they can also potentially effect browser response. Many pop up adds have dangerous scripting within them that can crash your browser. I can see how pop-up ads are cost effecient and more effective than banner ads but i'm still not a fan of this type of advertising. Well written, cheers

  6. From what I see, everyone agrees that these ads are irritating. They can be annoying, but I find them really effective, because for those 5 seconds of screen time before you find the hidden X to close the ad, you are inadvertently exposed to the product and it sticks, whether we like it or not.
    Great work.

    Hunor.

  7. Internet pop ads could be very effective, they just have to be used in the correct manner. If the company or website can make sure the ad ties in with the website or some how the product being sold. It could increase how successful the ad is and how many clicks it gets.

    1. I agree with Dan. I also think that the ad will need to tie into who searching. The pop up ad needs to apply to the viewer and what their needs are, and I do not beleive that is always the case.

  8. I understand that pop-up ads serve their purpose for online marketing. It doesn't make them any less annoying unfortunately. I never click on them unless it's by accident. I view them as spam advertising to be honest. The revenues are surprising though!
    Great post!

  9. I think clickable ads can go on either side of the fence. Some consumers will always be drawn towards them and click them 9 out of 10 ads. However, other consumers may not be drawn towards them and have blinders up when it comes to clickable ads. Marketers are taking a chance when it comes to clickable ads.

  10. Clickable ads are really useful for a business to promote its product and services over the internet, through click-able ads they can increase traffic towards their website and become more popular but sometimes it can very annoying for the users.
