Enterprises software
firms provide database, analytics, and mobile solutions to customers for their
analytics oriented. Every company selects specific aspects of its business
depending on what they want to improve.
By following the most important measurement to your business, you can
improve the results and grow your business, which is ultimately the goal of
reading metrics.
Examples
·
Sales
An ecommerce storefront
is supported by how many sales are completed. A great metric to track for an
ecommerce site is how many people drop off without finishing their purchase.
While you might think that visitors would be the most important metric, if you
notice that there is a huge difference between visitors and customers with
completed sales, you will realize that getting the people who come to your site
to finish their purchase is more important.

Marketing
With marketing analytics,
you have a good, solid look into the direct relationships between your
marketing channels. It's great to be able to see how each of your individual
channels (e.g. social media, blogging, email marketing, SEO, etc.) are
performing, but the true power of analytics comes into play when you can easily
tie the effect of multiple channels' performances together.
For instance, let's say
you did an email send to a segment of your leads. Marketing analytics can not
only tell you how many people clicked through from your email to your website,
but also how many of those people actually converted into leads for your business
when they got there. Furthermore, you can compare the impact of that individual
email send with other marketing initiatives. Did that email generate more leads than the blog post you published yesterday? What about
compared to your social presence?

Web analytics are very important to business as hey can monitor their website traffic and figure out what they need to do better in order to increase stickiness and web traffic. ReplyDeleteWeb Analytics are crucial to any business as they can monitor traffic and determine what they need to increase people staying on their websites. Having this information can allow a company decide what they need to do to fix something that isn't where it is. Web analytics is a great way for companies to keep track of where they stand. It can be used to see where the company is excelling or where it could use improvements.
ReplyDeleteWe talked about Google Analytic's in IMC today which was interesting. The different tools available to company's is amazing, and would really make life easier for them. What is nice about this program is that you can track many different issues and click through's. This will help the company know what they can improve on. Like Audace posted with the sales example. They will need to then look more deeply into the problem of people leaving the site without making a sale and see what they can then do to make changes to ensure people are making a purchase before leaving the page.
ReplyDeleteWeb analytics is a great tool. It help monitor your visitors and users. It can help you optimize your website, as well as formulate a sales and e-marketing plan. Excellent Post
ReplyDeleteI think Moosehead.ca needs to read your post, Audace. Their website is so basic and could really use an updating. They would surely see that most people who visit their site stay on it for about 30 seconds. It is the less sticky than one of those sticky hands after having it for a month in a dusty room(http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_TYNsAA0S3JY/TIpytMwULOI/AAAAAAAAAeg/rm-DQ9R-7bU/s1600/StickyStretchHandToy.jpg). They really need to change something, because it's pure trash.
ReplyDeleteWeb Analytics are really helpful in making data driven decision for a company. Web Analytics data helps the companies to understand what does the visitors on their site like or dislike and with what they interact with the most and the least. Web analytics eliminates guess work for the companies so that they work on how consumers react based on their stats and information.
ReplyDeleteGood post! I also agree that Web analytics are very helpful in retrieving data about what kind of visitors are visiting your webpage. How long do they stay? what do they click? What don't they click? What do they like? All these are important to the marketer in order for them to change their webpage to be more "likable" by those visitors..
ReplyDeleteThe longer someone is one your page, the more likely they are going to remember the brand and make a purchase.
Web Analytics it is an important tool that help not just to collecting and analyzing data, it also help to assess where a companies stand and to make a good and helpful decision for a company.

Web analytics are so crucial to marketers, being able to use the tools to measure a company's objectives is exactly what we need and helps determine if we are using SEO properly or effectively. The technology that google provides is extremely useful, but a bit overwhelming. I have taken on the task of improving my employers website and it something I will have to use, and have to get to know web analyics to see if its working. Great work!
ReplyDeleteYou are exactly right when you stated the true power of web analytics is being able to tie all web marketing channels together. If you do not maintain the same level of focus and evaluate the performance of all channels to the same degree, you could potentially harm one channel due to the fact evaluative information acquired through another channel may cause a direct negative effect. good read
